All that we accomplish in the Clerk and Recorder office is customer facing and directly affects the lives of every citizen at many junctures. I am dedicated to providing a very “human,” we-are-in-this-together experience. We will do whatever we can, within the confines of the rules and laws that govern our operations, to help citizens accomplish their individual goals.

I have demonstrated that it is in my DNA to pursue better ways to accomplish the important work that we do; and I am committed to empowering staff to rethink the challenges they encounter and embrace the power of “can.” It’s such a great feeling to see opportunity instead of roadblocks, and that’s the kind of culture we will pursue.

Our highest calling is integrity in all that we do. Politics has no place in our administrative functions. Elections must be conducted with the highest attention to detail, accuracy and integrity – within our operations, there will be no political noise. As we expand into our new Elections counting facility space, prepare and conduct a Presidential Election and elections beyond, and continue to provide outstanding services in all our other operations, the demands are many. We are up to these challenges; and, as your Clerk and Recorder now – and going forward – you can count on my dedication to ensuring we don’t miss a beat.
