About Tina

In April of 2023, Tina was unanimously appointed by the Larimer Board of County Commissioners to fill the position of Clerk and Recorder vacated when Angela Myers retired. Tina was supported by Clerk Myers, Clerk Doyle, all Larimer County Clerk and Recorder leadership, and several well-respected Clerks from across the state.

Tina is a 24-year veteran of the Larimer County Clerk and Recorder’s office.  In October of 1999, Tina started as a Vehicle Licensing (VL) Technician. In 2005, Tina began providing direct support and leadership across all Clerk and Recorder areas of operations as a Vehicle Licensing Specialist, Vehicle Licensing Supervisor, Vehicle Licensing Assistant Manager, Recording Manager, and Deputy Clerk. It is likely that, if you’ve lived in Larimer County for a long time, she probably directly served you in one way or another over the years.

Tina is known as an innovative thinker and has a track record of being capable of focusing on the fine details of customer and staff needs, while consistently pursuing and delivering on meaningful operation improvements.

During Tina’s entire tenure in the Clerk and Recorder office, she has assisted with Elections operations. From general assistance in the counting facility, to supervising voting sites, to being the direct contact for watchers, to direct responsibility for the administration of the 2023 Coordinated Election as Clerk. Tina understands the complex details of rule and law, as well as the boots-on-the-ground human elements necessary to conduct an election with integrity.

On a personal note, Tina is a very active and proud Mother and Grandmother of a blended family.  Tina has been married to her partner in adventure, Rick, for 34 years; and they enjoy camping, spending time with the grandkids and loving up on their Corgi, Sammy.

Why Should Tina Harris Continue as Clerk & Recorder?

Tina Harris with husband

“I want to continue as your Larimer County Clerk and Recorder because I am committed to providing continuously improved, quality government services to our citizens; I am invested in the staff who are so dedicated to ensuring this is so; and…perhaps most importantly…because I know it is critical that all services provided in this office – from marriage licenses, to maintaining the public record, to vehicle licensing to elections administration – MUST be conducted with no political bias…period.

It would be challenging for someone who is not experienced in the office to approach this position from a non-political perspective, no matter their party affiliation.  I have proven that I am non-political, I have been mentored by non-political leadership since being in the office, and my experience in the office is clearly the driver of my interest in pursuing this next level of leadership within it.”
